| Math Day 2011: |
Math Day 2011 is a FREE mathematics enhancement program designed for 8th - 12th graders in western Montana. Students are invited the University of Montana for this one day event filled with fun hands on mathematics workshops. This year the program will be held Friday, September 23, 2011. All activities will take place in the Gallagher Business Building. Please see the program page for more information. Two new things this year: we have an advisory board, thank you, advisors! We will also have workshops specifically for teachers. More information about these workshops will be available closer to the date. Contact mathcircle@mso.umt.edu for more information. |

The inaugural event for the Missoula Math Circle was ''Math

Missoula Math Circle is an afterschool activity in which math topics are explored in more depth. In 2011-2012 the activities will be broken up into 2 sessions (fall and winter), each with 6 meeting times. Students work with UM math graduate students and faculty in a stimulating and challenging environment. Problem solving and self-guided learning will be enjoyed by all!
