All of the following events are on Thursday, September 6, unless specified otherwise.

These events are not exclusive to our student participants but are a subset of the events of the conference geared for student involvement.

• Undergraduate Presentations
 
This year we have four presentations from undergraduate students.  The student session begins at 11:00 am and runs 3:20 pm. All talks are in the James E. Todd Building (Continuing Education) Room 203.
 
• Mathematics Colloquium
 
The Mathematics Colloquium, "A combinatorialist counts the rational numbers", will be presented by Dr. Herbert Wilf, at 4:10 pm in the James E. Todd Building (Continuing Education) Room 203/204. This colloquium will be preceded by a short reception.
 
• Panel Discussion and Pizza Dinner
 
Free Pizza!  At 5:30 pm we invite our high school, undergraduate, and graduate participants to join us for a panel discussion on Life as a Mathematics Student: Personal Perspectives. University and college students at various stages of their careers will answer questions on what it is like to be a mathematics student. Their responses will be based on their personal experiences. Panelists include:
• Tiffany Horsch, Undergraduate Student, University of Montana,
• Ted Wendt, Undergraduate Student, Carroll College,
• John McGowan, Graduate Student, University of Montana.
A pizza dinner will follow. Please sign up in advance for the (free) pizza dinner, bigsky@charlo.math.umt.edu.
 
• Keynote Address
 
At 8:00 pm Professor Herbert Wilf of the University of Pennsylvania will present the Public Lecture ,  "From the Konigsberg bridges to DNA sequencing". The entire community is invited to this general audience presentation. The lecture will be in the Music Recital Hall.
 
• More Conference!
 
The conference continues through Saturday at noon followed by a rafting trip that afternoon.  We certainly invite everyone to stay through the conclusion of the conference ... there is even a small survivors' party Saturday night (don't worry, no one was voted out of the party last year).
